Founded in 1999, Dr. Nermien Ismail Schools (NIS) aimed to provide progressive and innovative education to achieve academic excellence. Starting with 1650 students, 450 staff, and 55 classrooms, the school graduated its first 100 students in 2000. By 2003, NIS earned the Shield of Excellence from the Egyptian Ministry of Education. In 2009, its British School received Edexcel accreditation for IGCSE. In 2012, NIS launched its Learning Management System (LMS). By 2013, it achieved ISO certification for its Quality Management System and became a leading provider of online educational materials.

Serving over 13,000 K-12 students, NIS is the only Middle Eastern member of the Christensen Institute [Blended Learning Universe].

Accreditation

American Program: All branches are accredited by Cognia and the Egyptian Ministry of Education.

British Program: Accredited by Cambridge, EdExcel, iPearson, and Oxford.

IB Program: Only the 1st Settlement and Sherouk branches are accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).
