Ecole Française de Sharm el Sheikh

Ecole Française de Sharm el Sheikh is registered on the list of French educational institutions in Egypt. Their  management, which oversees the daily pedagogical and administrative aspects, is linked to the French Ministry of Education which sets the regulations by which the school is governed. The French educational programmes are taught for all cycles. From maternelle to CE1 it is a direct teaching method and from CE2 to Terminale the curriculum is set by the Centre National d’Enseignement à Distance (CNED). This year the school has transitioned into the digital classroom in secondary school: collège and lycée. We prepare the pupils for the French school diplomas, notably the Diplôme National du Brevet and Baccalauréat général, which open the doors to universities worldwide. Our students master three languages at an early stage. Besides French which is the teaching language, Arabic is introduced from MS of maternelle and English from CP. From 5ème onwards, Spanish is also taught. All the languages are part of the Baccalauréat exam. Students enrolled in our school may transfer to other French schools in Egypt, in France and to any other establishments that are part of the network of French schools that are recognized by the French Ministry of Education. However, each school has its own set of admission rules therefore we encourage families to seek pre-registration information beforehand. We have a specific support system by our teaching body set-up to successfully introduce non francophone pupils up to age 8 into the French schooling system. We do however recommend that children start their schooling with us in maternelle. We at aim at forming reflective, voluntary citizens with a high sense of personal worth. In order to achieve this goal, students benefit from a personalised follow-up by our professional educational team throughout their schooling. Families are always invited to play an active role in this challenge.
