El Alsson British and American International School

El Alsson School was established in 1982 as a private English school licensed by the Egyptian Ministry of Education. In 1992, the British curriculum (Cambridge IGCSE, AS, and A-Level) was introduced alongside the Egyptian National Program. In 2001, the school adopted the Edexcel GCSE, AS, and A-Level programs, rebranding as El Alsson British International School.

In 2006, the National section was closed, and the American section was added, making it a British and American international school.

In 2017, the school moved to a state-of-the-art campus in NEWGIZA, featuring separate buildings for the British and American sections, a Performing Arts Building, and a Sports Hall.

In 2023, the American section was accredited to offer the IBDP program.

Despite offering only the British and American systems, the school teaches Arabic and Religion according to the Ministry's curriculum for Egyptian students and Arabic as a Second Language for expatriates
