The Falcon School is founded in 1976 an educational foundation offering a continuous education for girls and boys of 3 years and 8 months to 18 years old, in an active, inquiring learning environment with extensive facilities for studying languages, the Sciences, the Arts, music and a wide range of sports. As members of a multi-cultural, multi-racial school community which looks to the future, while cherishing traditional values, Falcon students and teachers aim to be critical thinkers and life-long learners, able to adapt and work together, responding to the social and technological challenges of the modern world. The language of instruction is English To inspire students to academic achievement by providing educational programmes and learning and development opportunities that deliver an encouraging and aspirational environment, tailored to the needs of the student and the building of their self-confidence, their self-esteem and nurturing their talents. Pastoral Care Falcon Language School provides Pastoral Care in a variety of ways to ensure that school life is happy and productive. Form Tutors take an interest in the well-being of students, meeting with them each morning to provide guidance and deal with any minor difficulties. Students are encouraged to approach their Form Tutors to ask for advice, and parents are welcome to arrange meetings to discuss their children’s school life. The homework diary is intended not only to provide a record of homework assignments, but also to be a means of communication between home and school about a student’s work and progress. Each year, two formal parent-teacher meetings are held to discuss not only academic progress, but also students’ attitudes and well-being. Senior members of staff are always happy to make appointments for consultation on pastoral matters. The School’s Educational Counsellor is also available to provide guidance on educational matters, University applications, and other elements of growing up which can impact on a student’s school life. In addition, a nurse is present during School hours, and a doctor is on call at all times. All students are required to complete a medical card.
